We are searching for an experienced Deburrer on behalf of our manufacturing client. This position supports production by removing sharp edges, excess material, and surface imperfections from manufactured components.
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, hands-on deburring experience, and the ability to follow manufacturing instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain deburring machines and grinding tools.
- Deburr components to remove sharp edges and excess material.
- Perform light grinding of welds and surface imperfections.
- Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
- Follow travelers, work orders, and specifications to complete operations in the correct sequence.
- Monitor machine operation, identify problems, and make necessary adjustments.
- Mount and position tools, fixtures, and accessories in machines.
- Communicate production needs and issues with coworkers across shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of deburring experience, or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities.
- Ability to use calipers and other manual inspection tools.
- Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and related accessories.
- Experience using hoists, hand trucks, conveyors, and lifts.
- Ability to read and understand travelers, specifications, and work orders.
- Mathematical skills, including geometry and algebra.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including Epicor 10.
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Flexibility and attention to detail in a changing manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform repetitive movements.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and computers.
- Ability to recognize audible alerts and respond to hazardous situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and by telephone.
