We’re partnering with a growing industrial manufacturer to identify a Corporate Operations Manager. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CEO, focused on strengthening operations, supporting growth initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Position Overview
The Corporate Operations Manager will lead and coordinate activities across production, engineering, procurement, product development, product management, and facilities. This role is responsible for aligning operational execution with business objectives, improving efficiency, and supporting scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight across core operational functions including Production, Engineering, Procurement, Product Development/R&D, Product Management, and Facilities

Support long-term operational planning and execute strategies aligned with company growth, cost control, and performance objectives

Partner with Finance to manage operating budgets, analyze performance, and improve cost efficiency, labor utilization, and overall productivity

Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, plant layout, and material flow to enhance throughput and operational efficiency

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, scrap, yield, and on-time delivery

Utilize ERP systems to manage BOM accuracy, job costing, standard costing, and reporting, ensuring data integrity across the organization

Lead operations in a mixed manufacturing environment (standard products and semi-custom/job cost work)

Oversee supply chain activities including inventory planning, demand planning, vendor management, and logistics

Identify and implement process improvements using data analysis and root cause methodologies

Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Sales to improve alignment and execution

Support capital improvement initiatives and ongoing operational enhancements

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency, compliance, and proper documentation

Build and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain preferred)

8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership

Strong background in both manufacturing and engineering environments

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams

Hands-on operational experience with a strong presence on the shop floor

Experience working with ERP systems (MieTrak or similar); strong understanding of:

BOM structures

Job costing and standard costing environments

Data accuracy and system utilization

Experience in environments with standard and semi-custom manufacturing

Proven ability to drive process improvements, increase efficiency, and support operational scalability

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Additional Information

This is an onsite role based in Northbrook, IL
-
Travel approximately 10–20%, including:

Domestic travel to facilities in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Texas

Occasional international travel to UK and Germany
