Overview
Seeking an experienced RN Clinical Training and Development Manager to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives across senior living communities. This role reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and is responsible for developing and implementing clinical training programs, supporting staff competency development, and improving clinical outcomes through education and data-driven performance improvement.
Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in DC, MD, and VA, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Minimum 3 years of experience as a clinical trainer, educator, or in a role providing clinical oversight within long-term care

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; combination of education and 10+ years leadership experience in skilled nursing may be considered

BLS/CPR certification required; willingness to become a CPR/First Aid instructor

Strong communication, coaching, and competency assessment skills

Experience evaluating and developing clinical competencies for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, GNAs, and other clinical staff

Proficiency with electronic medical records (PCC preferred) and training platforms such as Relias
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement clinical education programs, including orientation, annual competencies, and leadership development

Assess staff competencies and identify training and professional development needs

Plan and deliver in-person training, clinical education, and competency validation programs

Monitor clinical performance metrics and QAPI data to inform training initiatives and process improvements

Support care coordination and evidence-based practice implementation across communities

Develop and maintain CNA training and preceptor programs to support onboarding and retention

Design and oversee clinical onboarding programs for nursing staff

Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to clinical staff

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and annual competency requirements

Partner with LPN and CNA training programs to support clinical placements and recruitment pipelines
