Our Civil Construction client is looking for a Bridge Repair Foreman. Preferred NC but can reside in the following states: NC, MD, TN, WV, VA, SC, GA. This is a hands-on leadership role offering steady work, exposure to complex bridge repair projects, and the opportunity to grow with a respected heavy civil contractor focused on safety, quality, and long-term career development.
Must Haves
- Minimum 3 years of foreman experience in bridge repair, including concrete/shotcrete work, bearing replacements, steel repairs, bridge jacking, scaffolding, rigging, and containment
- At least 3 years of experience in bridge, highway, pipeline, storage tank, or water treatment repairs involving concrete, shotcrete, joints, or steel
- Hands-on proficiency with field equipment, including air compressors (375–1600), blast machines (ADI/ARS), dust collectors, paint pumps, shotcrete machines, and demolition tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 20–100 lbs)
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Pluses
- Certified Application Specialist (CAS)
- OSHA 15 or 30 certification
- CDL license
- Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification
- Strong references from previous bridge repair projects
- Basic computer skills
Day to Day:
As a Bridge Repair Foreman, you will lead and guide a crew of 4–8 team members on bridge and industrial repair projects, ensuring work is safe, on schedule, and of high quality. Responsibilities include overseeing rigging and substructure repair tasks, planning materials and equipment, and mentoring crew members. You’ll use your hands-on expertise to operate and troubleshoot field equipment, while also gaining exposure to painting and coatings aspects of projects. Additional duties include tracking daily progress, maintaining safety and quality standards, and communicating with inspectors, management, and clients. This is a fully field-based position with travel required across multiple states. Project durations range from roughly two months to two years, providing extensive hands-on experience and leadership development.
