Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the full execution and financial performance of assigned projects. This role oversees schedule, budget, safety, quality, subcontractor management, and client coordination while ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.

This is a leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to manage large commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.


Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction & Planning

  • Partner with preconstruction team during estimating and subcontractor bid review.

  • Support job setup and team formation.

  • Facilitate kickoff meetings with owner and design teams.

  • Develop and manage project master schedule (Primavera P6 experience preferred).

  • Implement the Last Planner System (LPS).

Execution & Field Oversight

  • Lead project team and establish clear roles and responsibilities.

  • Promote a safety-first culture; ensure OSHA compliance and company safety program adherence.

  • Oversee submittals, coordination, and BIM execution plans.

  • Resolve field quality issues with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

  • Maintain alignment between owner contract requirements and subcontract agreements.

Financial Management

  • Establish and manage original project budget.

  • Maintain full financial accountability for project success.

  • Monitor forecasts, cost reports, and change management.

  • Track subcontractor change orders and ensure timely processing.

  • Provide accurate reporting to corporate finance.

Quality & Compliance

  • Establish project quality management protocol.

  • Ensure compliance with executed owner agreements and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain close oversight of schedule adherence and risk mitigation strategies.

Leadership & Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and consultants.

  • Support regional business development and pursuit activities.

  • Lead team meetings and contribute to company initiatives and training programs.

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and high-performance culture.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience.

  • Experience delivering large commercial projects (healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology preferred).

  • Strong financial and budget management skills.

  • Working knowledge of:

    • Primavera P6

    • Procore

    • MS Office (Excel proficiency required)

  • Understanding of Project Labor Agreements (PLA) and regional labor agreements preferred.

  • Ability to identify and proactively resolve project performance issues.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


Compensation

  • $150,000 – $170,000 base salary (DOE)
