About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team in Richmond, IN. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds and assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and understands that quality and accountability matter every single shift.
This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities

Perform TIG (aluminum) and/or MIG (steel) welding based on production needs

Tack-weld and weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment

Lay out, position, and secure parts according to specifications and blueprints

Follow weld and assembly requirements using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions

Set up and adjust welding equipment (torch ignition, valves, amperage, voltage) to achieve proper weld quality

Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges to inspect finished parts

Maintain welding equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

Complete production and quality documentation accurately

Maintain strong attendance and reliability standards

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

Take ownership of quality — “do it right the first time” mindset
Qualifications / Requirements

1+ years of TIG (aluminum) or MIG (steel) welding experience or equivalent technical training
-
Successful completion of weld test (CIT or equivalent)

Experience operating various welding equipment and procedures

Ability to use electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to consistently use protective equipment

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
-
AWS Welding Certification preferred but not required
