We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and testing phases of cutting-edge communications hardware. This role is ideally suited for individuals who excel in tackling intricate technical issues and are passionate about innovation.

In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for leading the entire product development lifecycle of circuit card assemblies (CCAs), from conceptualization to release. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-performance and reliable products, adhering to marketing requirements and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of CCAs, including component selection, schematic capture, and providing PCB layout support.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, simulations, and verification/validation activities.
  • Work with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and system stakeholders to integrate hardware into comprehensive platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues throughout the development and production stages.
  • Optimize designs for enhanced performance, cost efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of designs, test results, and any revisions.
  • Support project planning efforts, including schedule management and resource allocation from requirements to product release.
  • Mentor junior engineers and advocate for industry best practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements in tools, processes, and technologies.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 8–15 years of experience in hardware design and development, including working with complex designs involving FPGAs and microcontrollers.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Cadence OrCAD / Allegro.
  • Experience with designing high-speed digital interfaces like PCI/PCIe, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Strong understanding of analog/digital electronics, signal integrity, power design, and thermal considerations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting DO-254 certification across all SOI phases.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing such as thermal, shock, and vibration assessments.
  • Experience working with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 standards.
  • Exposure to Multi-Chip Module (MCM) design.
