Maintenance Manager

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our state-of-the-art petrochemical and fine chemicals processing plant. This role is crucial for ensuring that all equipment functions with minimal downtime while optimizing operational efficiency and equipment longevity. The facility is equipped with advanced machinery including turbines, compressors, centrifuges, high-pressure steam networks, DCS process control equipment, and more from leading global manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel, focusing on planning, scheduling, and executing routine and emergency tasks, while managing spare parts inventory and providing technical guidance.
- Strategically plan and schedule maintenance activities to enhance resource efficiency and minimize production disruptions.
- Implement maintenance best practices and identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, technology, and supply chain, to streamline operations and promote safety while reducing costs.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess equipment reliability and workforce efficiency.
- Ensure the availability of equipment through preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Conduct root cause analyses and lead corrective actions for equipment failures and performance issues.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage spare parts inventory to optimize stock levels and minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, track costs, and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Train apprentices and trainees to develop a collaborative and improvement-driven team environment.
- Manage engineering and construction programs to support facility expansions and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in maintenance within petrochemical and chemical plants; managerial experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with quick decision-making capabilities.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers to achieve organizational goals.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a plant environment with occasional exposure to chemicals and machinery.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to be on-call or work outside regular hours as necessary.
