Commercial Construction Superintendent

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage on-site logistical operations, including jobsite mobilization, signage, and security.
- Oversee material management—receiving, staging, storing, and ensuring timely deliveries for enhanced productivity.
- Establish and maintain precise engineering controls.
- Lead subcontractor pre-installation and weekly coordination meetings.
- Manage the allocation of site utilization and lay down areas to subcontractors.
- Continuously assess and fulfill labor, material, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including environmental and pollution controls.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager for accurate and timely material and subcontractor coordination.
- Identify and address under-performing subcontractors or team members promptly.
- Oversee third-party inspections and manage inspections by the Owner and Design Teams.
- Ensure successful completion of all punch lists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years' related experience or training.
- Over 10 years of experience as a project superintendent in commercial public construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting legal documents and construction plans.
- Expertise in creating and managing CPM schedules.
- Capability to perform quantity take-offs and prepare precise manpower and material estimates.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and practices.
- Advanced skills in tracking trades for accurate reporting and billing.
- Strong understanding of structural shop drawings and MEP systems coordination.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and their scopes of work effectively.
- Strong conflict and crisis management capabilities.
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse team successfully.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
