Accounting Manager

Our client provides services to businesses. They are creating a national network of world-class service providers united by a shared commitment to providing the highest levels of technical knowledge with superior service. The Company has already completed over 15 acquisitions in the last few years and has a national footprint. Operating revenues are over 200 million annually and they are owned by prestigious private equity firm. The Company is located in Canton, Ma and the team is expected to be in office 3 days a week.
 
The Accounting Manager will be involved in the preparation of financial statements and manage the month, quarter and year-end close procedures. The range of responsibilities includes everything from day-to-day accounting tasks to supporting financial audits and performing special projects.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
- Own month-end close process, financial reporting deadlines, and preparation of variance analysis with an emphasis on operating
results, including margin analysis
 
- Review and approve all journal entries and account reconciliations
 
- Variance research and narratives for management regarding anomalies in actuals, forecasts, and budgets
 
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
 
- Direct and oversee the acquisition integration process and ensure that all contracts are entered into the accounting system in a
timely and accurate manner
 
Support in guiding other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to
operational issues. Partner closely with the Controller to support business initiatives
 
 
 
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
 
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or advanced degree is a plus
 
- 4 plus years of experience in an accounting operation and/or reporting role
 
- Proven knowledge of the general ledger and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
 
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
 
•           Experience in public accounting
•           CPA License
•           M&A experience
•           Experience with different financial software packages
