Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in London, Kingston, or Kitchener, Ontario. As a technical leader, you will oversee mechanical projects, provide design strategies, and mentor junior engineers.

 

Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of varying complexities- Leading design strategies and concept development- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers- Conducting audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations- Developing mechanical design standards and practices- Troubleshooting construction issues- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines- Conducting site visits and construction phase services

 
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building services- Engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience- Design experience with central plant systems (hot water, steam, chilled water)- Knowledge of DDC control systems and sequencing- Familiarity with OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards- Experience in multiple industries (commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, etc.)- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
