Role Overview
In this position, you will apply your expertise in GAAP accounting principles to produce comprehensive financial reports and analyses. Responsibilities include managing month-end close procedures, performing reconciliations, and generating variance analyses. You'll be instrumental in refining accounting systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting management with precise financial data to guide business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial documentation, including general ledger entries and financial reports, to communicate financial positions.
- Month-End Close & Accounting Operations: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Cash Management & Reconciliations: Conduct thorough reconciliations of cash accounts and manage banking activities.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on automation and efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Audit financial transactions and assist in preparing tax filings and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
- 4+ years of accounting and GAAP experience
- Preferred experience in month-end close processes
- Extra advantage: Construction accounting and job costing experience
- CPA designation is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with QuickBooks preferred
