We are seeking a seasoned Principle Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our dynamic team at our Pensacola, FL facility. This position plays a crucial role in developing and managing comprehensive industrial hygiene strategies to ensure the health and safety of our workforce.
We need 7 + years' experience out of the Chemical or Oil & Gas Refinery plants. SALARY- $145K-$155K. + plus 16% Bonus. + $10k Sign on Relocation Package. Nationwide search. No Visa Sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee annual Industrial Hygiene (IH) plans tailored for the site.
- Conduct comprehensive IH activities, focusing on the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the work environment.
- Manage and document both qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment data.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health standards and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in the identification, analysis, and resolution of emerging health and safety issues.
- Collaborate as a vital member of the site Environmental, Safety, Security, and Health (ESSH) team, contributing to program enhancements and policy development.
Core Duties:
- Maintain and implement IH policies and procedures that meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Oversee the Exposure Assessment process, executing both short and long-term initiatives to mitigate occupational health risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IH program management, promoting integration and enhancements at all operational levels.
- Conduct compliance audits, develop corrective action plans, and support work groups in compliance system development.
- Evaluate current and proposed projects for IH risks, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation measures.
- Facilitate the approval and integration of new chemicals, supported by product stewardship principles.
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory and corporate reports, including SARA 312 and TSCA.
- Provide exposure monitoring and support during emergencies such as chemical releases or fires.
- Serve as the Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with medical staff to maintain medical surveillance aligned with SEG requirements.
- Seek and implement legal advice as needed to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct field inspections to advise on and oversee safe work practices.
- Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies.
