Lead projects of diverse complexity levels from inception to completion
Interpret specifications to create comprehensive "General Notes" and "Loads & Reactions" drawings. Ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations such as ASME, API, and safety protocols. Review and approve design calculations and shipping/rigging calculations. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Develop and implement design standards, procedures, and spreadsheets. Assist in Pre-Award designs for targeted high-complexity projects. Evaluate potential risks, materials, and costs associated with each project. Validate design calculations in accordance with QA manual guidelines. Present design concepts and findings to external parties and end-user engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering- Must Have
6-10 years of experience in designing ASME VIII equipment within manufacturing- MUST HAVE
Proficient in structural and pressure vessel engineering across projects of varying complexity- MUST HAVE
Familiarity with Computer Aided Design software, particularly AutoDesk
Strong project management abilities, capable of overseeing projects independently
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred but not required:
Experience collaborating with diverse skilled trades
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification
