We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Decatur, AL. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of mechanical systems within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility. You will be integral to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant operations, providing leadership in troubleshooting, and implementing innovative solutions to complex mechanical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent and reliable attendance as a crucial part of the role.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address daily plant issues and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate technical activities related to construction and equipment modifications.
  • Foster strong relationships with plant operators to optimize processes and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the design and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Manage the use of facilities and equipment, acting as a liaison between management and plant personnel.
  • Develop and manage operating budgets, ensuring maintenance activities are performed within financial constraints.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on plant equipment, including vessels, pumps, and heat exchangers.
  • Supervise contractors and vendor activities on-site, ensuring safe and quality work practices.
  • Analyze equipment performance and work with teams to reduce costs and improve maintenance quality.
  • Prepare engineering design packages and conduct thorough analyses of equipment failures.
  • Lead and participate in staff hiring, training, and development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with PSM, ASME, API, OSHA, AWS, and ASNT codes and standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive base salary up to $120K, contingent upon experience, along with a sign-on bonus. Additionally, there is potential for an annual bonus of up to 12%. A comprehensive benefits package, including an excellent 401K match, is also provided.
