We are seeking an experienced Structural Department Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented Structural Engineers and Designers. This role is pivotal in designing and analyzing both existing and new structures, encompassing a variety of projects such as bridges, culverts, and buildings. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing multifaceted infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet local, county, and state requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and mentor a dedicated team of structural professionals.
  • Lead the design and analysis of structural projects, including bridges and infrastructure.
  • Oversee project planning, direction, and monitoring, ensuring compliance with relevant permits and regulations.
  • Utilize comprehensive bridge inspection experience to enhance project outcomes.
  • Draft and prepare effective project proposals and construction support documents.
  • Administer construction support services including contract administration, coordination, permitting, and budget management.
  • Manage project financials, maintaining adherence to financial objectives regarding utilization, profit, and overhead.
  • Expand the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline through strategic growth initiatives.
  • Engage with local civic and professional organizations to promote professional development and community engagement.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure ongoing project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Pennsylvania is mandatory, with New Jersey preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience collaborating with local and state agencies on infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in business development and client relations, with a history of securing new business.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural design software, including PennDOT programs, is advantageous.
