Salary: 10,000-13,000 Malaysian Ringgit per month

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specialized in semiconductor factory automation to join our dynamic team in Penang. This role focuses on developing and implementing innovative software solutions that enhance communication and automation between semiconductor equipment and factory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• SECS/GEM & GEM300 Development: Design and maintain software for seamless integration and automation of semiconductor tools.
• EDA/Interface A Integration: Implement solutions using standards such as E132, E134, and E125 for equipment-to-host communication.
• Customer Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored integration solutions.
• Product Demonstration & Support: Provide technical support and perform demonstrations during evaluation phases.
• Integration Frameworks: Develop reusable frameworks to enhance project efficiency.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Address and resolve complex connectivity issues.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to SEMI standards in all deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in software development within the semiconductor industry focusing on SECS/GEM, GEM300, or Interface A/EDA.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with SEMI standards (E4, E5, E30, etc.) and GEM300 standards (E39, E40, E87, E90, E94).
• Strong programming skills in C# and RESTful API development; experience with gRPC and Visual C++ is a plus.
• Experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Additional experience in factory automation and MES integration is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a customer-facing role.
• Willingness to travel for customer support and deployment as needed.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with industrial protocols like OPC UA/DA or MQTT.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI software or user interface design for equipment.
• Background in system integration within regulated environments.
