Pre-Sales Field Engineer
We invite applications for a dedicated and highly-skilled Pre-Sales Field Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on enhancing operations throughout North America, with a particular emphasis on engagements with the Department of Defense (DoD). This pivotal role involves the deployment of state-of-the-art counter-drone solutions, addressing the complex threat landscape of today.
Role Overview:
As an essential technical ally, you will work closely with defense clients and industry partners to ensure the seamless integration of our advanced Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technologies within military and governmental frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in meeting stringent operational, security, and compliance criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Demonstrations & Briefings: Design and deliver compelling presentations and live demonstrations tailored to DoD stakeholders, showcasing the tactical benefits of our solutions.
- Field Trials & Proof-of-Concepts: Organize and conduct POCs and field evaluations at military installations, aligning with mission-specific requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication and coordination with DoD end-users, acquisition personnel, and internal teams to optimize demonstration outcomes.
- Opportunity Development: Identify emerging DoD mission requirements and threat trends through active field engagement.
- Client Interaction & Requirements Analysis: Directly engage with defense clients to assess technical needs and provide solutions for complex integration queries.
- Field Research & System Deployment: Conduct site assessments and support the configuration and deployment of systems in secure environments.
- Reporting & Feedback: Compile detailed reports and provide insights to inform future product enhancements.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Field Engineer or similar roles within defense or security sectors.
- Full-time, in-office availability in the Washington, D.C. area, with no remote options.
- Expertise in customer-facing roles, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Background in military or defense systems, including RF technologies and tactical platforms.
- Capability to travel extensively, including CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts related to RF, electronic, or mechanical systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and impact.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical scenarios efficiently.
- Flexibility to work in varying outdoor conditions, with occasional extended hours.
Qualifications:
- Experience with U.S. Department of Defense or defense contractors is highly desirable.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition and cybersecurity processes preferred.
- An active DoD security clearance is a significant advantage.
- Part 107 UAS Pilot Certification or willingness to obtain shortly after hiring.
