General Manager of Mexico Branch (Ocean Forwarder)
Job Overview:
As the General Manager of the Mexico Branch, you will spearhead the strategic and operational aspects of our ocean forwarding services. Based in vibrant Mexico City, you will be instrumental in achieving shipment targets and enhancing our market presence in the region. This role demands a visionary leader with a deep understanding of logistics and a knack for fostering strong business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the entire freight forwarding process in Mexico, including business development, logistics solutions design, and quotation management.
- Set and monitor annual, quarterly, and monthly shipment goals, ensuring alignment with core KPIs to propel the business forward.
- Identify, onboard, and manage partnerships with local logistics suppliers to ensure comprehensive service offerings.
- Engage with potential regional clients to generate business opportunities and implement a structured sales management system.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize project execution and cross-departmental workflows, ensuring operational excellence.
- Establish and refine SOPs for the branch while conducting regular supplier performance reviews to maintain service quality.
- Leverage market insights to enhance marketing strategies and maintain a competitive advantage in the logistics sector.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of branch initiatives and cultivate enduring client relationships.
- Perform additional duties as necessitated by corporate or line management directives.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in sales and management within the international logistics industry, with a strong grasp of sea, air, and land export services.
- Existing network with China-Mexico logistics service providers and international freight forwarders is advantageous.
- Proactive, results-driven, and innovative with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Fluent in English or Spanish, with a deep understanding of local culture and market trends.
