Job Location: Kitchener West

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Laser and Press Brake Programmer to join our dynamic team. This role involves programming laser cut and brake-formed sheet metal parts, collaborating with design and production teams, and ensuring that all work aligns with customer expectations and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program parts from various CAD files based on customer specifications.
• Develop cutting and bending plans adhering to in-house standards.
• Review drawings to address design constraints, inconsistencies, and geometry considerations.
• Optimize laser cutting processes including path, part orientation, and waste management.
• Enhance sheet metal forming processes by optimizing bend sequences, tool usage, and machine selection.
• Drive continuous improvement of cutting parameters and production timetables to boost accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and schedule laser and brake production, accommodating changes and urgent requests effectively.
• Communicate with estimation staff and clients throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Nesting and Bending Software.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP job tracking software; experience with Bysoft7 is a plus.
• Completion of secondary education; some college education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal and custom fabrication.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and create blueprints.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
