Automation Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Remote option available)

Key Responsibilities
- Robotic Automation System Design and Development: Develop, optimize, and manage comprehensive robotic systems across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to ensure peak performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Programming and Control: Craft and implement control algorithms for robotic motion and task execution, writing and refining software across various automation applications.
- System Integration: Seamlessly integrate robotic systems into commercial laboratory or industrial settings, ensuring smooth interaction with equipment, instruments, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- User Interface (UI) Design: Create intuitive user interfaces to simplify the operation and control of automated systems.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to verify system performance, safety, and compliance, using performance data to refine systems.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs and user manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of robotics principles, kinematics, and control systems.
- 10+ years of professional experience in automation or robotics, with proven leadership and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python; familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS) is beneficial.
- Experience with PLC and SCADA programming is a strong plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication abilities and effective teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices related to robotic systems.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
