Join our dynamic team as a Senior Piping Designer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing intricate 3D models and construction drawings for advanced industrial manufacturing facilities. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of project scopes, timelines, deliverables, and industry standards, ensuring that all procedures and codes are meticulously followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and determine line counts and isometric quantities based on P&ID’s.
  • Familiarize with and adhere to client and project-specific procedures and specifications.
  • Compile and manage a 'Needs List' to align with project schedules.
  • Utilize AVEVA E3D/Navisworks software for 3D model reviews to monitor design quality and progress.
  • Approve and review project deliverables prior to issuance.
  • Coordinate with various engineering and design disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Verify and check piping drawings both in the office and on-site; field verification experience is advantageous.
  • Create general arrangements for plant facilities, ensuring safe maintenance and construction practices.
  • Conduct field design work, including walk downs using P&ID’s to locate tie points and route pipes through existing facilities.
  • Experience with laser scanning technologies and integrating these scans into AVEVA E3D models is considered a plus.
  • Navigate and resolve design challenges in environments with numerous obstructions.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently evaluate situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Engage in technical discussions with clients and subcontractors to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in E3D/PDMS with a proven track record of delivering complex drawings in collaboration with engineers and designers.
  • Preferred expertise in AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Education & Experience

  • An associate's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in the EPC industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within tight budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Flexibility for occasional overnight travel to client sites as necessary.
