The GM of Sponsorship will play a critical role in building and commercializing a leading sponsorship offering. This position requires a dynamic professional with deep knowledge in sponsorship, including acquiring, issuing, and money movement, and a strong skill set in product commercialization. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, ensuring solutions meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers while aligning with regulatory standards.

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive GTM strategy for sponsorship products, encompassing acquiring, issuing, and money movement. Incorporate direct and hybrid models to maximize market reach and adaptability.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and alignment between issuing and acquiring functions to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to build a sales pipeline and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to position solutions competitively in the market.
  • Oversee the development and integration of sponsorship products, including managing prepaid card programs.
  • Ensure a cohesive experience across acquiring, issuing, and money movement services to enhance the sponsorship suite.
  • Align product strategy with business goals and customer needs, balancing innovation with practicality.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and product leadership to build compliant and resilient financial products.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, OFAC and other laws.
  • Work closely with product managers to address compliance and risk factors in sponsorship solutions.
  • Oversee end-to-end commercialization, ensuring readiness for market launch and post-launch support.
  • Drive monetization of sponsorship offerings by focusing on growth strategies, pricing, and GTM plans.
  • Maintain alignment with regulatory and industry requirements, adapting commercialization strategies as needed.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals and growth objectives.
 

What You Bring: 

 
  • Experience in payments sponsorship with proven expertise in GTM strategy and commercialization.
  • Strong understanding of acquiring, issuing, and money movement within financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with risk, compliance, and product teams for regulatory adherence.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations such as AML and KYC.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset focused on revenue growth and market expansion.
