Lead CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist with Mazak, TRAK, and/or Okuma experience required on first shift at our precision manufacturing client near Hartford, CT. Direct-hire position, not a contract, with competitive compensation and full benefits package.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead set-up and operation of CNC lathe department to produce highly precise tools & finished component parts.
  • Precisely read & interpret blueprints, schematics, job orders, and verbal instructions to ensure finished pieces conform to all specifications for dimensional tolerances.
  • Determine & select appropriate machining procedures, tooling, and fixturing for each job.
  • Monitor CNC machine operations, perform routine daily machine maintenance, promptly notify supervisor in event of serious mechanical malfunctions.
  • Check all finished pieces for dimensional compliance using manual measuring devices, maintain associated documentation & paperwork, adhere closely to requisite inspection procedures, investigate & report any non-compliant product.
  • Maintain clean & orderly workstation, including proper disposition of any and all tools, metrological devices, and other work equipment as instructed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • HS diploma or GED required, technical schooling or advanced education considered a plus
  • Minimum 8 years' CNC lathe experience in an ASI/ISO regulated environment (AS9100/ISO9001 or ISO13485 preferred)
  • Knowledge of Mazatrol and/or TRAK software a plus
  • Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

Salary: 
  • $30.00 - $45.00/hr DOE
