Our precision manufacturing client is seeking a Centerless Grinder Machinist. Direct-hire position, not contract or temp, with competitive compensation and full benefits package. Must have minimum 3 years' experience operating centerless grinding equipment in a precision (ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO16949, etc.) environment, with the ability to produce precise components in a variety of metals to specifications and customer blueprints, using both manual & automated grinding machinery, and check own work for dimensional compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Understand basic shop math and take measurements to ensure compliance to the customer print.
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damage

Qualifications & Requirements

• HS diploma or GED; vo-tech training or apprenticeship will be an asset.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Good at math with analytical abilities
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items

• 1st:  Mon-Fri 7:00AM-3:30PM
• 2nd: Mon-Thu 3:00PM-1:30AM (15% shift differential)
