A growing manufacturing company specializing in precision machining and fabrication. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer (Mills & Lathes) to join the team. Position Overview:
 
As a CNC Machinist/Programmer (Mills & Lathes), you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality machined components for a variety of industries such as the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries that require tight tolerance machining. You will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines (Mills & Lathes), interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, Set up, operate, and (edit when needed) Fanuc controlled - CNC Mills & Lathes (machining OR turning) in accordance with production specifications.
  • Experience using any one of the following: MasterCAM, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, NX (Unigraphics), AutoDesk, Esprit.
  • 2 to 5 axis machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
  • Upload programs and make necessary adjustments (G&M code edits) to machine parameters.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) using tools such as: Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometers, Bore micrometers, Depth micrometers, Optical Comparators, to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of CNC Programming and machining experience.
  • Minimum 3yrs proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to read and understand G & M codes - Fanuc control.
  • Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
  • Proficiency in using metrology tools (operating a CMM experience is a plus!)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
Hours/Shifts
  • 1st Shift
  • Mon-Fri.  7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Overtime available
