We provide healthcare systems and applications used by various state and federal government entities and are growing our development team!  We are seeking an experienced Application Development Lead who brings equal strength in hands-on full stack development and team leadership. This is a working lead/manager role — you will write code every day while simultaneously coaching, mentoring, and managing a blended onshore/offshore team of 6–8 developers.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership (50%)

•        Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 6–8 full stack developers spanning onshore and offshore locations

•        Own team delivery — code reviews, task assignment, and quality standards

•        Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

•        Conduct regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development conversations

•        Serve as the primary escalation point for technical blockers and cross-team dependencies

•        Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable development plans

Full Stack Development (50%)

•        Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack solutions using C#/.NET and Angular

•        Develop and consume RESTful APIs and backend services integrating with SQL Server 

•        Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps

•        Manage source control workflows and code branching strategies using Git

•        Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS infrastructure

•        Leverage Kiro (AI-powered development tooling, built on AWS) to accelerate development velocity

•        Participate in and lead architecture discussions, ensuring scalable and maintainable design decisions

•        Uphold code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and documentation

 

The following are the Required Qualifications for this role:

Leadership & Management

•        Demonstrated experience managing or leading a software development team (this is a screening requirement)

•        Comfortable leading blended onshore/offshore teams across time zones

•        Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

•        Ability to balance individual contributor work with people management responsibilities

Technical - Must have this recent hands on experience

•        Hands-on development of enterprise, production-level software with C#.Net

•        Proficient front-end development Angular

•        Experience with Git/GitHub

•        Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management and work item tracking

•        Familiarity across core AWS services for cloud-native application development

 

While this role is fully remote, there may be a need to come into our offices at times.  We are looking for someone to live in the Eastern or Central time zones.  This is a contract to hire role and upon conversion, you would have full benefits including 401K with a company match is provided to you and your family.  Our biggest challenge is finding someone who has proficient hands on C#.Net development skills but also has experience managing a development team and processes.  If this opportunity is a good match for your skills and experience, please apply so we can set up a time to discuss this with you in detail!
