Do you have a strong PC and Networking Systems technical background and have had experience managing teams? We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager to lead the support of our IT desktop systems, servers, mobile devices, and audio-visual equipment. In this role, you will be leading a team of five individuals in supporting the hundreds of end users across four of our offices being based out of our Midtown offices in Atlanta.
The systems and support work you will manage will include system upgrades, rollouts, ongoing technical support, audio visual systems set up and configuration, and desktop systems and software. While this is a management role, the role will be hands on and we are looking for someone who likes to stay close to technology and who has been hands on recently. We ideally would like someone that has had experience working in a professional services environment such as a large accounting firm or large law firm or something similar. We have a Level 1 and Level 2 help desk but you and your team will provide support should they not be able resolve any support issue. We are currently using ServiceNow as our "ticketing system" but experience with a comparable solution is acceptable.
For this role, you and your team will be involved in resolving issues escalated from the Help Desk and other technology teams; communicating with end-users, documenting resolutions and known technical issues; monitoring the integrity of various networks and systems; assisting with engineering resolutions or developing "bug" fixes and system enhancements; interfacing with various groups within the department; and participating in technology projects as requested.
To be considered qualified, you should have the following skills and experience:
1) An understanding of and experience in dealing with local area networks, cabling, electrical systems, and other infrastructure components (e.g., computer room HVAC, UPS, security systems).
2) A practical knowledge of PC hardware and software and the ability to troubleshoot related problems.
3) A practical knowledge of mobile devices, mobile device operating systems and software, mobile enterprise email clients and the ability to troubleshoot related problems.
4) Experience managing IT support personnel.
5) Must have recent hands on experience with the types of systems mentioned above.
6) An ITIL certification is preferred.
This role will involve some travel to other offices including some international travel as a couple offices that your team will support are in Latin America. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity in our organization and we are working on site from our offices in the Midtown area. We offer a very competitive salary (no bonus) as well as excellent benefits and a relaxed yet professional and collaborative work environment. People come and stay!
