Our client is scaling rapidly and expanding its QA team to support continued growth across its payments platform. We are hiring a Senior QA (Manual+Automation) Engineer to take ownership of automation framework architecture, while also contributing hands-on manual testing as the organization transitions toward a more automated, enterprise-grade QA model.
This is a senior individual contributor role with real ownership. While our client currently uses Playwright, the framework needs to be re-architected to support scale. The right candidate will help define tooling, standards, and long-term automation strategy.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and own a scalable automation testing framework
- Evaluate and enhance existing automation (Playwright); open to Playwright or Selenium
- Perform hands-on manual and automated testing, with a focus on reducing manual effort over time
- Execute testing across web, backend, APIs, mobile apps, and payment terminals
- Lead API testing efforts and support third-party API certifications
- Own mobile testing, including our client’s TouchPay NFC payments app
- Contribute to CI/CD quality processes (e.g., Jenkins)
Current Technology Environment of the client:
React, React Native, Kotlin, C#, PHP, Python, MySQL, MS SQL, AWS Testing tools include Playwright (current), Selenium, Postman, Jenkins
Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on automation
- Proven experience building or re-architecting automation frameworks
- Strong foundation in manual testing and QA best practices
- Hands-on experience with API testing
- Comfortable testing across web, backend, and mobile platforms
- Strong scripting skills
Preferred:
- Fintech / payments experience (Fiserv or similar)
- JMeter experience
- Python-based automation (including AI-related testing)
