Senior Project Manager (M&A)

Houston, Texas
IDj-2774
Job TypeContract
Remote TypeRemote Available
Compensation$65 - $85 / hr

We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager that has experience running Merger & Acquistion experience for a 3-6 month contract (could go longer) engagement to support a technology-driven M&A initiative within our logistics and warehousing organization.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the hands-on execution of a 3PL-to-3PL merger and acquisition integration. This role owns the integration plan, tasks, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across operations, systems, and back-office functions. This is not a people-management role — the PM manages the work, not other PMs. We would like a PM that has experience with WMS and TMS systems and understands and has worked with warehousing and transportation and logistics operations. For this role, you can work remotely but will need to travel to Houston for key project milestones.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build, own and manage the end-to-end M&A integration plan
  • Drive execution across all major workstreams, including:
  • Warehouse and distribution operations
  • Transportation and freight management
  • Systems migrations such as WMS, TMS, ERP
  • Finance systems and reporting
  • HR systems, payroll, and benefits
  • CRM and customer data migration
  • Customer contracts, onboarding, and SLAs
  • Track tasks, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Lead integration meetings and provide executive-ready status reporting
  • Ensure operational continuity and minimal customer disruption

What experience are we looking for in the right individual?

  • 8+ years of project management experience
  • Experience related to M&A with integration of ERP, HR, Finance, and Operations systems.
  • A background in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain would be ideal
  • Experience managing cross-functional system and process migrations (ops, finance, HR, CRM)
  • Proven ability to manage complex integrations without managing other PMs

Ideal Profile

  • Senior, hands-on PM who has led full-scope integrations
  • Comfortable working directly with executives and functional leaders
  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and execution-focused
  • Role can work REMOTE but you need to be able to be on-site in Houston, TX during critical integration phases. We will pay your travel expenses.

Our expectations for this role include:

  • Integration milestones met on schedule
  • Finance, HR, CRM, and operational systems successfully migrated
  • Minimal service disruption and customer impact
  • Clear visibility into progress, risks, and decision points

If you are currently looking for your next Project Management opportunity and this role is a good match for your experience, please apply so we can set up a time to discuss this with you in more detail.
