Field Technician
We are seeking reliable, field-oriented technicians to support hospital site surveys. This role is physically active and involves walking hospital campuses for full days while documenting existing infrastructure. This is a short-term engagement ideal for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on-site.
Telephony experience is not required for all levels. We will staff a mix of Level 1 and Level 2 technicians based on experience.
Physical Requirements (All Levels)
- On your feet for full workdays, walking hospital floors and campuses
- Able to sustain physically active work for a full week
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and accessing workstations and closets
Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Walk hospital sites to support infrastructure and station documentation
- Identify and document:
- Wall jacks and workstation locations
- Phone or device set types (where applicable)
- Associated or ancillary equipment
- Accurately record findings in provided templates or tools
- Work in environments with limited or outdated documentation
- Communicate unexpected or undocumented findings to the project lead
- Maintain professionalism in active healthcare environments
Level 1 Technician
Experience Required: None
Ideal for candidates who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable with hands-on, active work
- Able to follow instructions and document accurately
- Willing to learn basic infrastructure concepts on-site
Level 1 Focus:
- Station identification and basic documentation
- Visual confirmation of equipment and locations
- Assisting Level 2 technicians as needed
Level 2 Technician (Basic Telephony Familiarity)
Experience Required: Basic familiarity with telephony systems or low-voltage infrastructure
Examples of Relevant Background:
- Exposure to phone systems, jacks, or cross-connects
- Low-voltage, cabling, or IT field support experience
- Prior site survey or infrastructure documentation work
Level 2 Focus:
- Identifying phone set types and basic telephony components
- Recognizing cross-connect or frame-related elements
- Helping flag inconsistencies or issues for follow-up
Schedule Notes
- Standard schedule is Monday–Friday
- Extended days may be required if site conditions impact productivity
- Schedule adjustments are typically identified mid-week based on progress
