Overview

We are supporting an active, in-progress project and are seeking a CCNA-level field technician to assist with onsite network deployment activities across Connecticut. This role is directed by an ePlus Project Manager and requires a reliable, consistent resource for the duration of the engagement.

Responsibilities

• Travel to a warehouse in Hartford, CT to pick up equipment
• Transport equipment to various sites across Connecticut
• Perform rack and stack of network equipment
• Run, label, and manage cabling
• Power up equipment and establish console connections
• Join remote bridge calls with ePlus or CEN engineers for configuration and cutover activities
• Box and label equipment as needed
• Follow documented procedures provided by ePlus
• Communicate regularly with the ePlus PM via phone and Webex

Requirements

• CCNA-level knowledge (certification not required)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (hands-on configuration not expected)
• Experience with rack and stack and cabling work
• Ability to use PuTTY for console access
• Must have:
• Laptop
• Console cable
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to travel locally throughout Connecticut
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction

• Work is already awarded and in progress
• Preference for the same resource to support the full duration
• Travel and expenses can be reimbursed (included in rate or billed separately)
• Rate: Open / flexible based on experience
