Data Center Hardware Support Technician
Provide onsite data center hardware support services in a managed services environment. Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center hardware, cabling, and related infrastructure while following all data center policies and change management procedures.
Job Responsibilities

Perform new hardware installations including rack and stack, unboxing, power-up, labeling, and cabling (fiber and copper).

Plan and install cable paths, trunks, patch panels, and patch cords; label all cabling per data center standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues involving single-mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, copper cabling, SFPs, and hardware components.

Respond to break/fix tickets and outage bridges, supporting compute, storage, and network issue resolution.

Remove and decommission hardware and cabling, including asset tracking, disposal coordination, and media destruction processes.

Perform shipping and receiving activities, logging all incoming and outgoing equipment in hardware tracking systems.

Update data center management systems (DCRM, DCtracks, HRS) accurately and within required timeframes.

Coordinate with internal teams and vendors during installations, decommissions, repairs, and facility-related activities.

Provide onsite and on-call support across assigned shifts as required.

Follow all data center safety, security, and compliance procedures at all times.
