We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Microsoft Teams Calling Implementation Specialist to lead a strategic initiative for transitioning up to 1,500 employees to Microsoft Teams for inbound and outbound calling. This role is critical in guiding the data collection and discovery phase to expedite the project. As part of the Trick Dog team, you will work closely with the customer to ensure a seamless migration and robust telephony solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Discovery:

  • Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to gather necessary data and insights.
  • Accelerate the discovery phase to streamline the overall project plan and migration schedule.

• Microsoft Teams Tenant Configuration:

  • Configure the Teams Tenant for calling, including setting up policies for inbound, outbound, and international dialing.
  • Create user profiles, assign licensing, and develop Intune policies for physical devices.

• Telephony Features Setup:

  • Configure Auto-Attendants and shared lines to support efficient call routing.
  • Ensure E911 compliance through proper configuration.

• Migration & Support:

  • Oversee the migration of up to 1,500 users to Microsoft Teams for calling across up to four distinct migration phases.
  • Provide Day 1 support during each migration phase to ensure continuity.
  • Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., Lumen) to transfer numbers from the on-premises system to the Teams Tenant.
  • Manage the removal of legacy configurations and phone numbers from the on-premises system during the project lifecycle.

• Device Configuration:

  • Configure up to 200 physical Teams phones to ensure seamless integration with the new system.

• Admin Training & Post-Migration Support:

  • Deliver over-the-shoulder training for administrators covering:
    • Moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD) processes
    • Call routing design best practices
    • Licensing assignment and management
  • Provide ongoing support to optimize the new Teams calling environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Teams telephony implementations and large-scale migrations.
• Strong technical expertise with Teams Tenant configuration, Intune, and unified communications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with E911 requirements and telephony regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate).
• Experience working with external vendors on telephony migrations.
• Background in comprehensive data collection and discovery for IT projects.
