Territory Service Technician
We’re looking for dependable and mechanically inclined Territory Service Technicians to service and maintain industrial recycling equipment — innovative recycling solutions used in large retail distribution centers. These roles involve scheduled maintenance visits every six months at assigned locations and timely response to urgent service requests within 48 business hours.
As part of a rapidly growing sustainability initiative, you’ll play a key role in supporting clients adopting this exciting new recycling technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on recycling machines at assigned sites (every 6 months)
- Respond to urgent support calls within 48 business hours of request.
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and functional testing according to company procedures.
- Document all service activities, parts used, and findings per visit.
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with client site managers.
- Follow established safety procedures and manufacturer maintenance guidelines.
- Communicate recurring issues or improvement suggestions to management.
Tools and Equipment
Technicians must provide and maintain a basic tool kit, including a standard ratchet set, heat-resistant gloves, a basic grease gun, an OHM meter, screwdrivers, and blower or wet/dry vac
Training & Procedures
- Basic technical training provided (includes hands-on and procedural overview).
- Must follow documented maintenance and service procedures.
- Three-hour minimum pay per site visit (applies to both scheduled and urgent calls).
- Travel time is paid.
Requirements
- 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience
- Field Service experience
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed or company vehicle provided, depending on contract).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse or industrial settings.
- Good communication and recordkeeping skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to a two-year service agreement.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with compactors, densifiers, or industrial recycling equipment.
