Sr. Arista Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a large scale Juniper to Arista campus switching migration for a healthcare environment in New York City. The engagement will support deployment activities within an Arista Cloud managed campus networking environment and will work alongside the customer, installation teams, and project management resources throughout staging and implementation activities.

This is an onsite position. The engineer will work within a lab/staging environment during preparation activities and must also be onsite during implementation windows to support deployment execution and resolve issues as they arise. The engineer will not perform physical rack and stack or cabling work but will work closely with installers to validate configurations and deployment accuracy.

Project Environment

The migration includes deployment and support of Arista campus switching infrastructure and associated optics, licensing, and cloud managed services, including:

• Arista 720XP campus switches
• Arista 720XPM campus switches
• Arista 7050X3 switches
• Arista CloudVision
• Arista enhanced licensing and campus management
• Campus switching and segmentation workflows
• Optical and high speed connectivity infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Support a Juniper to Arista campus switching migration initiative
• Work within the Arista Cloud managed networking environment
• Assist with switch provisioning and deployment activities
• Configure and validate interfaces, VLANs, and port assignments
• Review Juniper port configurations and translate configuration requirements into actions within the Arista graphical management platform
• Support template deployment and policy configuration activities
• Participate in lab staging and onsite implementation support
• Coordinate closely with installers and implementation personnel to ensure deployment accuracy
• Troubleshoot deployment and operational issues during implementation windows
• Communicate effectively with customer stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams
• Participate in technical discussions and customer facing conversations regarding operational management and deployment workflows

Required Experience

• Hands on experience with Arista campus switching environments
• Experience working within Arista graphical management and cloud managed platforms
• Strong understanding of campus network operations and switching concepts
• Experience configuring interfaces, VLANs, segmentation, and switch provisioning
• Ability to read and interpret Juniper switch configurations
• Experience translating network configuration requirements into operational deployment tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with implementation teams and customer personnel
• Comfortable working onsite in both lab and production deployment environments

Engagement Structure

• Staff augmentation engagement supporting the customer and deployment team
• Resource will report operationally within the customer deployment structure and work alongside a project management team
• Estimated workload discussed at approximately 35 hours per week
