We are supporting a large healthcare system as they roll out a major network hardware deployment across hospitals and care facilities throughout Wisconsin. We are hiring four Network Deployment Engineers to install, configure, and validate newly purchased network devices throughout the client’s environment.

This is a field-based role with frequent travel. All in-state travel costs (mileage, lodging, per diem) are fully covered.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure enterprise network equipment, including wireless access points and access-layer switches

  • Replace legacy hardware with new devices across hospitals, clinics, and remote care facilities

  • Follow existing network standards for VLANs, QoS, security settings, and controller-based wireless configuration

  • Perform onsite surveys to confirm cabling, mounting, PoE readiness, and environmental requirements

  • Document each installation with location notes, photos, and validation results

  • Collaborate with the client’s network team during cutovers and post-deployment checks

  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate when needed

  • Provide clear updates to project management on completed sites, timelines, and any risks

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and professionalism in clinical settings

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking

  • Strong working knowledge of wireless access point installation and configuration (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, or similar)

  • Experience mounting APs, validating signal, confirming switch port readiness, and following wireless design guidelines

  • Experience with switch provisioning, VLAN configuration, and general Layer 2 networking

  • Comfortable working onsite in hospitals and clinical environments

  • Ability to travel frequently within the state of Wisconsin

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work in healthcare settings

  • Experience with large-scale hardware refresh projects

  • Familiarity with Ekahau or similar wireless tools

  • Experience working with remote network engineering teams

Contract Details

  • 12-month contract

  • Travel within Wisconsin is covered (mileage, lodging, per diem)

  • Full-time hours, Monday through Friday

  • Competitive hourly rate
