We are seeking experienced Senior Network Engineers with strong Extreme Networks experience to support a large-scale hospital system divestiture project.

This is a remote engagement supporting network migration activities during scheduled maintenance windows. Engineers will work alongside the project team on bridge calls and execute network changes as systems and locations are transitioned to a new environment.

This is an immediate need with a July 31 start date.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on Extreme Networks experience
• Experience working with BOSS and/or VOSS environments
• Experience with Extreme ERS4850 / ERS4900 edge switches
• Experience with Extreme VSP7200 / VSP8400 core and aggregation switches
• Strong Layer 2 networking knowledge, including VLANs, ports and interfaces
• Experience making configuration changes in production network environments
• Strong network troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently during scheduled maintenance windows
• Comfortable participating in live migration bridge calls and executing changes as directed

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remotely access and manage Extreme network switches
• Identify appropriate switches, interfaces, ports and VLANs
• Move ports between VLANs
• Enable and disable switch ports
• Perform configuration changes as required
• Save and validate configurations
• Verify connectivity following network changes
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues during migration activities
• Participate in project bridge calls throughout maintenance windows
• Coordinate with other network engineers and project team members
• Execute changes accurately within established maintenance windows

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Weekday Overnight:
Monday–Friday
12:00 AM–8:00 AM Central

Weekend:
Saturday and Sunday
12-hour shifts

Initial engagement: Through September 1, 2026
Potential extension based on project requirements.

This project is moving quickly. Candidates must be available to begin July 31 and should have direct, hands-on Extreme Networks experience.
