We are seeking Fiber Cabling Technicians to support a short-term infrastructure project in Madison, Wisconsin. This engagement focuses primarily on pulling fiber in both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) environments. The work will be physically demanding and performed on an accelerated schedule to meet the project deadline.

This opportunity is well suited for junior technicians with hands-on cabling experience who are comfortable working long hours and supporting a fast-moving field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and route fiber optic cabling in inside plant and outside plant environments
• Assist with cable routing through conduit, pathways, ceilings, and exterior pathways
• Support installation teams with telecom and structured cabling tasks
• Follow site safety guidelines and maintain organized cable pathways
• Assist with labeling, dressing, and securing fiber runs
• Work closely with project leads and other technicians to complete work on schedule
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on an active job site

Required Qualifications

• Basic experience with structured cabling, fiber pulling, or telecom installation
• Familiarity with standard cabling tools and installation practices
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable and able to work long shifts for the duration of the project
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in ceilings or outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to fiber optic installation practices
• Experience supporting inside plant or outside plant cable installations
• Prior work on IT infrastructure or telecom deployment projects
• Experience working on government or campus-style facilities

Additional Information

• Overtime will be required due to the aggressive project schedule.  It will be paid at overtime rates.
