Position Summary

We are seeking two Field Telecom Technicians to support a major healthcare system throughout South Florida. This is a hands-on field position focused on basic telephony work, analog line troubleshooting and smart-hands support for M2 units, which function similarly to IP phones.

Responsibilities

• Tone, trace and identify analog telephone lines
• Test analog lines and troubleshoot basic connectivity issues
• Perform cross-connects at telecommunications blocks and panels
• Install, connect and test M2 units
• Verify that lines and devices are functioning properly after installation
• Provide onsite smart-hands support for telephone and related equipment
• Document completed work and report unresolved issues
• Follow all hospital and clinic procedures while working in patient-care environments

Qualifications

• Previous experience with basic telephony or field telecom work
• Experience toning, tracing, identifying and testing analog lines
• Experience performing telephone cross-connects
• Ability to install, connect and test telephone equipment
• Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with telecom rooms, punch-down blocks and cabling
• Ability to work independently at multiple hospital and clinic locations
• Professional communication and conduct appropriate for healthcare environments
