Advanced Manufacturing Technician
Advanced Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the wiring, start-up, testing, and final verification of industrial laser cutting machines to ensure full electrical and mechanical functionality in accordance with customer and company quality standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented technician who thrives in a high-tech manufacturing environment and enjoys working with advanced automation and laser technology.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical inspections to verify laser cutting machines meet all performance and quality requirements.

Wire, start up, and test advanced electro-mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation and cutting accuracy.

Commission disk and fiber laser systems and validate cutting quality to established specifications.

Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-related issues.

Prepare fully tested machines for shipment, ensuring all documentation, verification records, and packaging requirements are complete.

Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Work safely and confidently with high- and low-voltage electrical systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.

Verify test results meet required tolerances and document findings through quality and test reports.

Stay current with engineering change notices (ECNs), product updates, and technical improvements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.

Participate in team meetings and implement approved corrective actions and process improvements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives, including SYNCHRO, 5S, and Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).

Follow and enforce all company safety, quality, and operational policies.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, machine start-up, or system testing.

Strong working knowledge of industrial machinery, automation systems, CNC equipment, or laser cutting technology.

Experience with electrical systems (high and low voltage), electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial software.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and machine documentation.

Familiarity with machine operation, manufacturing applications, and quality control processes.

Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with strong attention to detail.
