Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer with power delivery and planning experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years in power delivery including field start-up and commissioning activites.

A privately owned company formed by individuals with over 70 years combined experience in the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical equipment. Our goal is to place the customer first while providing quality equipment and services. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and commission medium voltage metal-clad switchgear
• Involvement in RFQ proposals
• Design protective relay systems
• Bench test switchgear post manufacture
• Field installation and start-up commissioning
• Relay testing and/or commissioning activities
• Power systems analysis using commercially available software packages such as ETAP, SKM, and/or Easypower
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical functions of relays, contactors, circuit breakers, and disconnect switches
• Complete administrative responsibilities as they relate to work activities (expense reports, field reports, testing data sheets, etc.)
• Work with customer engineering and procurement teams as required to maintain positive customer relationship management skills
• Safely perform work task observing best practices, identify, report and correct unsafe or hazardous work areas.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Self-directed, be able to work independently.
• Able and willing to travel 25% - 35% of the year

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in medium voltage power distribution equipment manufacturing (including design and field start-up)
• EIT Certification
• Experience in power systems analysis
• Experience with AutoCAD LT
