The duties and responsibilities should be as follows:
- Lead and assist in the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring all customer orders are built to specification and shipped in a timely fashion
- Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 Job Task Supervisors and their assigned assemblers, prioritizing the weekly work schedule
- Utilize production software to monitor job tasks, customer purchase order status, and the 12-step general build process for all orders
- Enforce plant personnel rules and safety standards to maintain an accident-free work environment and high accountability
- Conduct weekly production meetings with supervisors to confirm job task assignments and forecast production requirements for the coming weeks
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering (CAD) to ensure all necessary parts and technical drawings are available for the build team
- Evaluate machine resources and manufacturing flow to increase productivity while reducing manufacturing costs
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- 5+ years of experience managing production supervisors and shop floor employees in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure production accuracy
- Experience utilizing Bills of Materials (BOM), inventory data, and production tracking software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide delivery updates to sales teams and technical answers to customers when needed
- A solid work history free of short-term jobs of less than three years in duration
- Being a US citizen or green card holder
- Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
