Litigation Associate

Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $235,000 to $260,000 Base Salary, complemented by a robust benefits package and performance-based incentives.
Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, with a minimum requirement of 1,850 hours of annual billed time.
Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive fact investigations to identify critical evidence and prepare for trial.
- Draft sophisticated pleadings and responsive documents for state and federal courts.
- Manage the full discovery cycle, including drafting interrogatories and handling complex e-discovery.
- Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Draft high-level motions and briefs, including dispositive motions and trial briefs.
- Assist in trial and pre-trial proceedings, including jury selection and expert witness coordination.
- Cultivate direct client relationships through transparent communication and strategic updates.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active Bar License in California, in good standing.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a dedicated litigation practice group.
- Proficiency in California Code of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience or clerkship with a state or federal judge is highly regarded.
- Advanced proficiency in legal technology platforms and case management software.
- Ability to maintain composure and precision under multiple high-priority deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with partners and support staff.
