Overview
A reputable construction services organization is seeking a Certified Construction Materials Special Inspector to support inspection and materials testing activities across northern Idaho and eastern Washington. This field-based role requires hands-on experience with construction materials testing, strong technical skills, and a consistent focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Perform field inspections and construction materials testing in accordance with WAQTC procedures and project specifications.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

Conduct testing and inspection of aggregates, asphalt, base materials, and in-place densities.

Prepare accurate and timely electronic field reports and document test results using mobile devices.

Operate, maintain, and transport field and laboratory equipment, including nuclear gauges, density testing equipment, and sampling tools.

Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and internal team members.

Travel throughout the service region to support onsite inspections and testing activities.

Qualifications

Positive, professional attitude with a strong customer service mindset.

Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.

Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for reporting and documentation.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Willingness to travel regularly to project sites throughout the region.
