Instrumentation Technician
In fast-paced manufacturing environments, the Instrumentation Specialist combines technical expertise with hands-on troubleshooting to support production uptime, process control, and operational performance. This is a detail-oriented, active role that installs, calibrates, maintains, and repairs the electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems that keep automated manufacturing operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Working with industrial switchgear, transformers, and motor control centers (MCCs)
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Working with PLC controls and electro-mechanical systems
- Designing, specifying, and ordering materials for electrical support systems
- Making manual adjustments to steam boilers when required
- Following NEC standards and company safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree or certificate in Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation, OR a State Electrical License
- Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls
- Ability to read schematics and work with PLCs
