Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – Greenville, SC

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join and help lead its Greenville, SC office. This is an opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring staff, and is interested in a long-term leadership opportunity with a growing firm.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare individual, S-Corporation, partnership, and other business tax returns.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for tax engagements.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for tax planning and compliance matters.
• Review work completed by staff and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Help oversee and develop a team of approximately 4–5 professionals in the Greenville office.
• Assist with workflow management, deadlines, and quality control.
• Work directly with firm leadership on client service and continued growth of the Greenville office.
• Participate in tax planning and provide clients with proactive guidance throughout the year.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Strong public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, including 1040s, S-Corporations, and partnerships.
• Previous experience reviewing the work of other tax professionals.
• Strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
• Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
