Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible to effectively perform all the required duties of the Maintenance Mechanic Department position in an accurate, thorough and safe management.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical systems to the component level.
• Preventative and Planned Maintenance.
• Understand and repair industrial electrical systems.
• Install, maintain and repairs equipment required to meet production needs.
• Install services and repairs electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools.
• Move and replace machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Fabricate and assemble test parts as needed.
• Replace fuses, light bulbs and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications.
• Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging equipment.
• Ability and willingness to assist in training.
• Resolve problems while providing innovative solutions.
• Ability to safely and effectively work on plant facilities of various forms.
• Maintain records and prepare reports related to the work regarding equipment, supplies and materials.
• Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions.

Required:

·         Need to have a good blend of both electrical and mechanical skills, including PLC troubleshooting experience.

·         Need to have experience working in food manufacturing or pharma or cosmetics - as long as it was a highly regulated and cold work environment.

Note:

This is a COLD working environment (38-45 degrees). Please let us know specifically if you have any cold work environment experience.

Schedule:

·         2nd Shift (3pm-12am) Production equipment and PMs

·         Will work OT and Saturdays

·         Mandatory overtime - 10 hr shifts and Saturdays.

·         Do get paid time a half on Saturdays and double on Sundays
