Sales Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in Saint Louis.
This role is pivotal in identifying new market opportunities, developing revenue streams, and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for engaging with potential clients, understanding their needs, and introducing solutions that meet those needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through various channels.
- Overcome objections and negotiate effectively with leads.
- Design and implement cold outreach campaigns to attract potential clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance outbound prospecting processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of prospective clients and log all activities in the sales platform.
- Stay updated with new engineering trends and technologies to influence product sales positively.
- Prepare detailed reports on client interactions and sales activities.
- Support customer account maintenance, ensuring quality work under tight deadlines.
- Develop and refine written customer proposals.
- Engage in brand promotion activities and employ marketing strategies for customer engagement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a professional setting.
- Interest in pursuing or currently holding an MBA.
- Proficiency in marketing platforms and strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working Conditions:
This role involves routine use of standard office equipment. It requires visiting customer sites that may have medium noise levels and machinery in operation. The role also involves travel to meet clients as needed.
Physical Requirements:
The position requires occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities are necessary, including close, distance, and color vision.
