Requirements: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree plus six years of experience in poultry processing is a must. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Specifically:
· minimum of five years progressive managerial experience is required.
· preferred experience is in foodservice and portion control side of the business.
· Must be able to lead a group of diverse individuals to achieve departmental goals.
· detail oriented, structured, and able to communicate effectively, must possess demonstrated ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
· strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
· excellent follow through on assigned tasks is required for this position, must be able to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
The Assistant Plant Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the processing plant, as well as ensuring that all safety procedures are followed and that all plant goals are met. Specifically, this position will :
· direct the processing of assigned products consistent with scheduled requirements
· be responsible for meeting cost standards, safety requirements, environmental, quality and food safety specifications to assure maximum output at the lowest possible costs.
· maintain an effective plant organization to assure maximum utilization and development of employees.
· executes plans to achieve plant financial targets and goals.
· create and maintain programs for employee development & training
· Serve as facility champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives.
**Hours are 4 am - 1 pm. Considered to be 3rd shift.**
